A: I opened 6th Ave Spectacles in 2020 and 6th Ave Goddess Short Term Rentals in 2017.
Q: What is the mission for your business?
A: My vision for 6th Ave Spectacles is to help my neighbors find the perfect pair of quality eyewear and to offer personalized service. My vision for my rentals is to provide the very best experience for travelers visiting Tacoma while they are staying on 6th Ave.
Q: What services or products do you offer?
A: 6th Ave Spectacles offers fun and unique eyewear and personalized service. You won't need to travel to Seattle for exciting eyewear. 6th Ave Goddess is a short term rental that consists of two apartments on top of each other. They are rented through Airbnb. We get guests from around the world.
Q: What do you love most about what you do?
A: I really enjoy meeting my neighbors and finding the perfect pair of eyeglasses for them.
Q: What is your favorite thing you sell?
A: I love it when I hear that people love our frames. It makes me very happy. I carry frames from different eyewear designers around the the world. I enjoy meeting the designers at tradeshows as well as reading their comments on their designs on my social media. It is very exciting when they see what their frames look like on real people.
Q: Who is your ideal client?
A: My clients range from those wanting something really unique to those wanting something more simple. I enjoy working with all types of people. It is great to see how a frame can completely change one's look and can be an instant makeover.
Q: In there anything people don't know about your business?
A: I opened my business during Covid. I work by appointment so I can give my customers the very best services. I offer custom eyewear for non-line bifocals, computers and sun protection and even safety eyewear.
Q: Do you have any upcoming specials, events or new items?
A: I am always getting new frames in. I try to post regularly on social media.
Q: What do you love most about 6th Ave?
A: I love the vibrancy of 6th Avenue. Most of the businesses are small businesses. I really enjoy meeting my neighbors. Tacoma is a large city but it still has a small town feel.
